DAY 2, Saturday - Arrive in Lisbon
Arrive in captivating Lisbon, one of the oldest cities in Europe, and transfer to your hotel. Most flights arrive in early morning and your room may not be ready for you. In this case, leave your luggage with the concierge and your Tour Manager will provide suggestions for you to begin to explore the city on your own. Your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 7 PM. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 5 PM

DAY 3, Sunday - Lisbon City Tour
The morning city tour of Lisbon begins with a stop at the top of Edward VII's Park for panoramic views over the hills of Lisbon and the River Tagus. Next, view the treasured 16th century Belém Tower and the Monument of Discoveries, standing at the marina in Belém, starting point for many of Portugal's explorers. Spend the afternoon at leisure, or join the optional tour to Sintra, the "glorious Eden" of Lord Byron, and summer retreat of the royal court, highlighted by lavish romantic castles and stunning monuments. Visit the Sintra Royal Palace, a 15th century royal residence, containing one of the largest tile collections in Portugal. Then enjoy some free time in the Village Historical Center before returning to Lisbon

DAY 4, Monday - Travel to Seville
Depart Lisbon this morning heading south. Cross the region of Alentejo, with its rolling hills, vineyards and cork oak trees. Reach the Spanish border and enter the region of Andalucia. Continue your drive to Seville. After dinner, opportunity to attend the optional Flamenco Show in Seville, known as the birthplace of Flamenco

DAY 5, Tuesday - Full Day in Seville
Spend the day at leisure or, join the optional Seville City Tour. Begin at Plaza de España and the gardens of Maria Luisa Park before taking a walking tour in the quaint Barrio Santa Cruz, the former Jewish Quarter of the city. Continue to view the Cathedral of Seville, burial site of Christopher Columbus. In the afternoon, perhaps join the optional Palacio de las Dueñas. Tour the palace, built in the 15th century in Renaissance style with Gothic and Moorish accents and learn about its intriguing history. Following the visit, walk around Seville's Old Town

DAY 6, Wednesday - Cordoba en route to Madrid
Depart Seville and head north towards Madrid. En route stop in Cordoba, founded by the Romans. Visit the Mezquita de Cordoba, a grand mosque that was transformed into a soaring cathedral in the 16th century. A walking tour of the city reveals the ancient Jewish Quarter with its labyrinth of winding narrow streets, picturesque squares, and view of the 14th century Synagogue on Calle de los Judios. Continue north through the region of La Mancha, home of Don Quixote, featuring panoramic views of its famous windmills. Arrive in Madrid and check into your hotel

DAY 7, Thursday - Madrid City Tour
The morning city tour of Madrid begins with a drive along the Gran Via through the Opera District, Plaza de Colon, and view the Royal Palace. Pass through Plaza de Cibeles and Puerta de Alcala Gate. In the afternoon, join the optional Toledo Tour. Take a walking tour of the former capital city of Spain and visit the St. Tome Church with its El Greco masterpiece and Santa Maria la Blanca Synagogue with its Moorish architecture

DAY 8, Friday - Zaragoza en route to Barcelona
Depart Madrid this morning and head to Barcelona. On the way, stop at Zaragoza, located on the banks of the mighty Río Ebro. Take an orientation tour of the city and spend time at leisure. In the afternoon, continue to Barcelona with its unending choice of museums, galleries, and cafes. Perhaps stroll along Las Ramblas, Barcelona's famous pedestrian walkway with its life-size animators, and stalls

DAY 9, Saturday - Full Day in Barcelona
Today, spend the day at leisure in Barcelona, or join the optional guided Barcelona City tour, where you will get an introduction to the city and view its famous landmarks. In the afternoon, participate in the optional Gaudi Monuments tour with a guide and discover some of its most important creations. View its masterpiece, the iconic Sagrada Familia (choose to visit independently). Then, continue along the elegant Passeig de Gracia boulevard to view Casa Batllo and Casa Milà, known as La Pedrera. Conclude the tour with a visit to Park Güell, where the colors and expressions of Gaudi's work are boldly displayed. Tonight, attend a reception and bid farewell to your Tour Manager
