A new high speed train now links Madrid and Valencia.  Service began on December 18th and is the latest addition to the AVE network which connects Madrid to Barcelona in 3 hours and Seville in 2.5 hours.  There are 16 daily departures, and you arrive in about 1 and a half hours.
